Finally, some light on the shadowy organization that helped turn Colorado a solid shade of blue.

Have you heard of the Colorado Democracy Alliance? Probably not, unless you live and breathe politics. A handful of big donors are spending hundreds of millions of dollars to turn the political tide in Colorado.

I have no problem with wealthy politicos spending their entire life savings on elections. But these liberal big wigs, organized under the umbrella of the Colorado Democracy Alliance, helped craft laws that squeezed the little guy into political irrelevance. It now takes big money to play in politics, now, and that's the way they want it.

Former state Rep. Rob Witwer is writing on a book about this cabal of Democrat donors. There's an excerpt in this week's issue of National Review Online. It's a scary read for anyone concerned about our political system.
